Petronas Harbour park: Langkawi Perdana Quay

Langkawi Day 3: Petronas Harbour park

This is Day 3 of our trip to Langkawi, it is also the last day before we go back to Penang. We wake up in the early morning, have a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, and we planned to depart to Langkawi Cable car. As I remember on my last visit, we will come to this Petronas Harbour Park on the way before reaching the cable car. After confirm with the map on hand, we decided to make a pit stop at the Harbour Park which is about 5mins away from the Langkawi Cable car. I have attached a map below for your reference, or you can click here for the link:

According to Langkawi Insight.com
Located in Pantai Kok area of Langkawi on the western coastline, Telaga Harbour Park covers 27 acres of basin area and includes a full serviced marina for yachts & sailboats and a shopping complex with a board walk that also has several upscale restaurants & bars.

Telaga Harbor park once used to be a sleepy fishing village. LADA (Langkawi Development Authority) has built a modern and sophisticated marina with comprehensive berthing facilities and added Perdana Quay which is a harbor-side complex having a boardwalk with several waterside restaurants, bars and shops to make it a great attraction for both yachters and tourists. In the evenings when all the lights are put on, Telaga Harbor Park looks gorgeous and awesome.

The marina is today home to many passing as well as Langkawi based yachts of various sizes including mega yachts. It has now become a self contained township and is only such harbor town in the entire region. You can come to the harbor and enjoy sailing. Annual International Water Festival is held during the first quarter of the year when you can participate in many water based activities and games held in the harbor park.

We reach there by about 8.30am and there is no other tourist there : ) Meaning we can take a better photo then. Once we approach the deck, the view is incredible. A lots of yacht and boat is stopping there, and I start to imagine I'm on one of those now : )

A lot of yachts and boats.....
Myself and the beautiful scenery, sorry for the morning sleepy look : )
The other side along the deck
There is also some facilities which I think it is useful and convenient to tourist, including restaurant, bank with ATM services, petrol refill station and etc, all in this Perdana Quay building.

The Perdana Quay building, located side by side with the harbour.

Personally I think it is a great pit stop when you are on the way to the cable car, where you could enjoy the beautiful scene here and stretch your back if you are driving from Kuah town like me : )

Langkawi Seafood: 同心圆 GLK TONG SHAM YUN Seafood Restaurant

Langkawi Day 1: Dinner   We have chosen Tong Sham Yun Seafood as our first night dinner. Read a few review about Wonderland and Tong Sham Yun which is located side by side in Kuah town, I decided to go to Tong Sham Yun as the review is better in term of service and charge.   And we can see that Wonderland is full of foreigners that dine in there, while Tong Sham Yun have more of local or Malaysian tourist. The atmosphere is nice, located just beside a river and the dining is open aired. The owner is nice and friendly, recommended a few dishes which I think is definitely recommended!!! First on the list, the santan prawn 椰汁虾 (RM 27). Nice and sweet, with the aroma of santan and some spice such as curry, the combination is very nice and it taste surprise to me. I have never taste prawn which is cook in this manner and it is good : ) Definitely thumbs up for this!   The steam fish, freshly catch (not the frozen type). Cost us RM 8 per 100g (RM 48 in total), the owner has ch

Where to eat in Langkawi: Chinese coffee shop

Saw a lot of post complaint about there is no Chinese food in Langkawi, so here I am to share where did I find Chinese food in Langkawi during my trip.   Besides the seafood restaurant Tong Sham Yun Seafood  which you could read about the review following the link above, I'm gonna share about the lunch that we had after island hooping.   This is the kind of coffee shop that we could find around Malaysia, however I did not see much in Langkawi. We found it on our way back to hotel in the afternoon, located at the end of the same street where Hotel Bahagia located. Sorry for not remember the name of the shop, but it is easy to spot if you can find Hotel Bahagia, or follow the coordination I shared below.   There is not much variety or stall in the shop, and we saw most of the customer are from local and many of them are having Pan Mee. So we follow and ordered dried Pan Mee which cost RM 5.00. Quite reasonable in fact, knowing we are tourist : ) All of us feel satisfy with th
