Thanks to AirAsia, now everyone can fly to Langkawi at a lower fare than taking a ferry from Penang port. By doing this, we can save some time and some money to spend on the duty free chocolate and beers : )
According to Wikipedia:
Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah is an island group of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. By far the largest of the islands is the Pulau Langkawi, granted tax-free status by 1987 with the intention of promoting tourism and improve the lives of the islanders.

Hi Li,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip want to know more about the car rental details. Can you share the name of the car rental company you rent from? also did you prebook or got the rent at the airport? is the rate you quote daily or total for 2 days
Thanks
NALI
Hi Nali,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment : ) For car rental, I actually did not prebook it, I make the rental upon arrival at airport after asking for the price and choose the one that I feel comfortable with. Basically the price is almost the same for MyVi at off season. RM160 is for 48 hours. Hope this help and enjoy ur trip!!
