Sushi Kitchen: Vegan Japanese food

Today I'm going to write about Sushi Kitchen which provide all vegetarian Japanese food. For those of you who are vegetarian, here is a new choice for you maybe, or for those omnivore like me and sometimes we just want to eat healthier : )   I have personally visited this place for 2 times, and I love the concept of this shop. Meatless, organic, environmental friendly.... This shop is located at Sungai Ara, behind Chong Zhen primary school. You may click here for the location map. Once you step into this shop, it is like you step into a little jungle in the middle of the town, keeping all the busy street and traffic behind. They have these trees that I do not know their name, place all over the balcony, which help to keep the cooling effect in room acting as a shade allowing you to sit near the window even during evening. It is a great chill out place to chit chat with friends after a work day as it is near to Bayan Lepas working area, so save us the hassle to go all the wa

Miam Miam Cafe: Best French Toast Ever!!!!!

Today we are celebrating our 4th year anniversary of our relationship, he picks me off from work and head back to change so that we can go out and celebrate : )   We have chosen Miam Miam Café as our dinner of anniversary and I'm really glad we did! Miam Miam Café, located at Gurney Paragon is a Japanese mix French cuisine. Once we step into the cafe, I found the ambiance was very relax and chic. The chair in blue and yellow add a hint of playful feeling into the whole design. And look into the menu, it offer a range of Pasta and baked rice as main dish, and a wide range of French toast and dessert to choose from.   We have ordered a plate of Miam Miam spaghetti, the portion is rather big enough thus we decided to share it. The café actually provide 2 small plate for us to share the spaghetti, so sweet : ) The spaghetti is so well cook and it taste so springy in the mouth. Sautéed with frankfurters, tomatoes, baby spinach and bacon. Tossed with French butter, their se

Langkawi trip Day 2: Gunung Raya Highest peak in Langkawi

The last stop of Day 2 sight seeing, the highest peak in Langkawi Gunung Raya. This is my second time visit to Gunung Raya, the last time was back in 2009 with my course mate. I remember Gunung Raya for its freeze and cooling air and we had a wonderful time there, so I decided to visit it again. Click here for the coordination, if you refer to the reference map that I have shared before, then it is on Point I , not too far away from Air Hangat Village.    It is a 12km drive to the hill peak, and the journey start off quite scary this time. LOL!!!! Not too long after we turn into the road direct to the hill top, we saw a snake went crossing the road and it looks like a king cobra *omg..... Due to that, we all dare not wind down the window, just afraid that a second one might just fall into our car. However, this is just a sharing, please do not be afraid to visit Gunung Raya just because of that : )   Besides the scary part, there is also an exciting part! I saw a wild hornbill

It is a map which you can get it at the airport tourism information counter, which provide accurate location information. There is also a few private room available for luxury spa experience, which I did not ask for the price *not plan to experience, must be very expensive : (   Hot spring is known for the benefit of increasing blood circulation, promoting cell o

Langkawi trip Day 2: Black Sand Beach Langkawi

After taking shower and get some rest back in hotel, we headed out for some round the island activity!!! 1st stop we went to the famous black sand beach or Pantai Pasir Hitam, located at Jalan Teluk Yu on the north side of the island. According to the local folklore (information replicated from information board):   The black sand at this beach was the outcome of an ancient civil war between the Land Kingdom and the Underwater Kingdom. The was started when a mermaid princess from the Underwater Kingdom fell in love and ran away with the prince of the Land Kingdom. The war was basically a one-sided affair, since the Underwater Kingdom had more troops than the Land Kingdom. However, the Land Kingdom had a wise man who gave brilliant advise to help secure their victory. The wise man instructed the people of the Land Kingdom to collect firewood and stack it up along the seashore. Before dawn, all the firewood was burned and the flames could be seen miles away. When the troops of th

Where to eat in Langkawi: Chinese coffee shop

Saw a lot of post complaint about there is no Chinese food in Langkawi, so here I am to share where did I find Chinese food in Langkawi during my trip.   Besides the seafood restaurant Tong Sham Yun Seafood  which you could read about the review following the link above, I'm gonna share about the lunch that we had after island hooping.   This is the kind of coffee shop that we could find around Malaysia, however I did not see much in Langkawi. We found it on our way back to hotel in the afternoon, located at the end of the same street where Hotel Bahagia located. Sorry for not remember the name of the shop, but it is easy to spot if you can find Hotel Bahagia, or follow the coordination I shared below.   There is not much variety or stall in the shop, and we saw most of the customer are from local and many of them are having Pan Mee. So we follow and ordered dried Pan Mee which cost RM 5.00. Quite reasonable in fact, knowing we are tourist : ) All of us feel satisfy with th
