Langkawi Trip Day 2: Island Hooping

Day 2 Morning: Island Hooping   After having our breakfast at Hotel Bahagia, we head to Underwater World located at Pantai Cenang to meet up our pick up van with the contact provided by the guy where we rent our Myvi. We got a fair price from this guy of RM25 per person, with the recommendation from car rental guy : )   However, the van that they use to pick us up is old and bad in shape, with the air-cond not working well : ( But we are just taking this van for a short distance so we don't really mind. We were told to wait at the beach side to be call on board, so we waited and took some photos!   And finally our boat has come and we have to literally walk into the water in order to get up to the boat, it is kind of difficult for mummy to get up the boat but she manage with papa's help *sweet sweet oh* And after everyone get set with their life jacket, the boat is ready to go!! It is a great experience where the boat is speeding but the boatman did really care for

Langkawi Seafood: 同心圆 GLK TONG SHAM YUN Seafood Restaurant

Langkawi Day 1: Dinner   We have chosen Tong Sham Yun Seafood as our first night dinner. Read a few review about Wonderland and Tong Sham Yun which is located side by side in Kuah town, I decided to go to Tong Sham Yun as the review is better in term of service and charge.   And we can see that Wonderland is full of foreigners that dine in there, while Tong Sham Yun have more of local or Malaysian tourist. The atmosphere is nice, located just beside a river and the dining is open aired. The owner is nice and friendly, recommended a few dishes which I think is definitely recommended!!! First on the list, the santan prawn 椰汁虾 (RM 27). Nice and sweet, with the aroma of santan and some spice such as curry, the combination is very nice and it taste surprise to me. I have never taste prawn which is cook in this manner and it is good : ) Definitely thumbs up for this!   The steam fish, freshly catch (not the frozen type). Cost us RM 8 per 100g (RM 48 in total), the owner has ch

Langkawi Travel 2014: Overview Activity sharing

Thanks to AirAsia, now everyone can fly to Langkawi at a lower fare than taking a ferry from Penang port. By doing this, we can save some time and some money to spend on the duty free chocolate and beers : ) According to Wikipedia: Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah is an island group  of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea , some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia . The islands are a part of the state of Kedah , which is adjacent to the Thai border. By far the largest of the islands is the Pulau Langkawi, granted tax-free status by 1987 with the intention of promoting tourism and improve the lives of the islanders.   This time I travel with my boyfie along with my parents to Langkawi, and the overview of our activity is as per below: Day 1: Arrival at Pulau Langkawi airport - Car rental - Hotel Bahagia - Tong Shum Yun Seafood - Dataran Lang - Duty Free shopping Day 2: Breakfast at hotel - Island Hooping -  Lunch at Kuah town  -

Penang Top 10 burger: Dayummmmmyyyyy

Dayumm burger has always been at the top of the list of Penang Top 10 burger or most recommended burger in town. Famous for it's pork patty and juicy meat balls that drives a lot of burger's fans crazy ^.^   Boyfie and I decided to give it a try after reading some of the blogs that review about it. There is quite some variety that you can choose from the menu (photo below), basically depend on how hungry you are.. lolx!! Boyfie ordered a complete dayummnation and I opt for classic. It took us about 15mins before the food is ready and I think it is quite slow since there is not much people before us. We did not manage to try on the meat balls but it looks yummy anyway. Gonna give it a try in next visit!!        Additional Information: Location: Golden Happy Cafe 金快樂茶室, 749, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Sungai Nibong, Bayan Lepas , 11900 Price range: RM 6 ~ RM 18 Portion: Medium large Parking: FOC besides the coffee shop Business hour: Wednesday
