Langkawi Cable Car experience

Langkawi Day 3: Cable car

Langkawi Cable car, also known as SkyCab, with the base station located at foothill of mount Machincang. From here, with a fee of RM 15 (for Malaysian upon present of MyKad), you may enjoy a ride to the top station. You may refer below for the different rate for different package available or click here for more information.

For Malaysian:
Adults: RM 15
Children: RM 5

Non-Malaysian:
Adults: RM 30
Children: RM 20

Upon arrival at Oriental Village, where the base station located, we headed to the ticket counter and purchase 4 tickets (total RM 60). Without further delay, we take the ride towards the top station. Yay!!!

Here we go ~ ~

Someone look nervous hahahahaa......
The view along the way, nice!

We make a pit stop at the middle station where you can go down from the cable car and there is a viewing platform. However, there is nothing much and I would suggest that the view from the top station will be better and you should spend more time there instead. So we did not stay too long there before proceed to the next station : )

According to paranomalangkawi.com:

A short walk up the stairs from the Top Station will take visitors to the two viewing platforms at the top of Machincang mountain. Visitors will be amazed at the unfolding dramatic views from the platforms, the many unique and exciting features of Machincang, are dominating rock tower peaks providing spectacular 360 degrees panoramic views of the Langkawi islands and Southern Thailand as well as dramatic views of the deep chasms, overhangs cliff walls, isolated pinnacles and some caves. Such nature monuments are seldom seen anywhere else in this combination except in Langkawi.

And the view from the top station is incredible. This station is 650 meter above sea level, with the two viewing platform offers a 360 degree of panoramic view.

Walking to the other viewing platform for more exciting view

Skybridge, has been closed down for a very long time until further notice. Too bad...

And more photos for the panoramic view from the viewing platform:

And this is the end of my Langkawi trip, hope to go on for a new trip and share more with you all again : ) Hope you guys find it useful, and I will continue writing!!
