Korean Dessert Cafe & Bistro: Namoo at Gurney Plaza

Namoo Café & Bistro is a western and Korean mixed cuisine, located at The Park at Gurney Plaza, besides Black Canyon Restaurant, opposite to Chili's. I got to know about this Café through a give out cash voucher worth RM10, since there is some discount why not give it a try : )

The menu is extensive, serving from rice burger to bibimbap; from pasta to pancake; with a wide range of cold & warm Korean dessert, and the ambiance is modern and laid-back, a perfect place for friend’s gathering or a chill out place on a lazy Sunday afternoon. You can opt to dine inside the café or outdoor for those enjoy the dining outdoor atmosphere (and you can enjoy up to 15% discount if you dine outdoor from 3-6pm on Sat or Sunday!!!)

We ordered the recommended Bibi rice burger (RM 21.90), a thick juicy layer of grilled chicken with a mixed of fresh vege, together with fried egg that served with bibi sesame source. Yummy!!!

And this Chicken white cream Omuto (RM 19.90), is the choice of boyfie to fulfil the hungry tummy. Korean fried rice wrapped in egg omelette, topped with fried chicken and white creamy sauce. I loved how the combination of the white cream and the omelette and fried rice very much, but it was nothing very surprising anyway. However it could be serve with prawn instead of chicken, worth give it a try next time.

The Chicken Hot stone Bibimbap (RM 20.90), basically is a mixed of vege, minced chicken and served with the famous bibi sauce. Although it taste good and comfort your stomach, it does not really worth the money with the ingredient you get.

Dakgalbi rice (RM 17.90), the chicken is tender with a hint of spiciness, very appetizing and my friend loves it very much!

On the right, Yuza Virgin Mojito (RM 12.90), a refreshing drinks that is perfect for after work chill out *recommended. On the left, milky Hwa Che (RM 12.90), Korean style mixed fruit served with sweet milk. The only order that I will regret, the taste of fruit and milk does not go along very nicely.

Ginger tea (left) and Yuza tea (RM 8.90 both). The aroma and fragrant of Yuza is very nice; while ginger is very warming.

And the dessert: Grilled rice cake served with Yuza marmalade (RM 9.90), sweet potato cake (RM 12.90) & Berries Hottuk Pancake (RM 12.90). I will recommend the sweet potato cake, sweet and very fulfilling, something special that you can’t find it anywhere else : )

Langkawi Seafood: 同心圆 GLK TONG SHAM YUN Seafood Restaurant

Langkawi Day 1: Dinner   We have chosen Tong Sham Yun Seafood as our first night dinner. Read a few review about Wonderland and Tong Sham Yun which is located side by side in Kuah town, I decided to go to Tong Sham Yun as the review is better in term of service and charge.   And we can see that Wonderland is full of foreigners that dine in there, while Tong Sham Yun have more of local or Malaysian tourist. The atmosphere is nice, located just beside a river and the dining is open aired. The owner is nice and friendly, recommended a few dishes which I think is definitely recommended!!! First on the list, the santan prawn 椰汁虾 (RM 27). Nice and sweet, with the aroma of santan and some spice such as curry, the combination is very nice and it taste surprise to me. I have never taste prawn which is cook in this manner and it is good : ) Definitely thumbs up for this!   The steam fish, freshly catch (not the frozen type). Cost us RM 8 per 100g (RM 48 in total), the owner has ch

Where to eat in Langkawi: Chinese coffee shop

Saw a lot of post complaint about there is no Chinese food in Langkawi, so here I am to share where did I find Chinese food in Langkawi during my trip.   Besides the seafood restaurant Tong Sham Yun Seafood  which you could read about the review following the link above, I'm gonna share about the lunch that we had after island hooping.   This is the kind of coffee shop that we could find around Malaysia, however I did not see much in Langkawi. We found it on our way back to hotel in the afternoon, located at the end of the same street where Hotel Bahagia located. Sorry for not remember the name of the shop, but it is easy to spot if you can find Hotel Bahagia, or follow the coordination I shared below.   There is not much variety or stall in the shop, and we saw most of the customer are from local and many of them are having Pan Mee. So we follow and ordered dried Pan Mee which cost RM 5.00. Quite reasonable in fact, knowing we are tourist : ) All of us feel satisfy with th
