1st cosmetic product review: Clinique Anti-Blemish Liquid Foundation

I have never done a review on any cosmetic product previously, but recently I found that it will be quite interesting and meaningful to share with all of you what I found to be able to work for me. I must admit I'm not a girl who is very good or research a lot in make up or skin care, but I do follow my beauty regime (cleanse, tone, hydrate, and add on function according to you need), and I do put on make up sometimes or occasionally :p

Recently I just purchase a new foundation as the one that I'm using (Dior Snow series) is finishing, and I would like to try on a new one :) So I went to the departmental store to have a look and survey. At the end of the day, I purchase this Clinique Anti-Blemish Liquid foundation because I do have blemishes and acne (especially at the jawlines.....). And I'm also looking for a product that does not cause my skin to look oily and cakey at the end of the day. This product claimed to be oil-free, and helps to conceal and control breakout at the same time. How exciting right?!

Packaging

The bottle of the foundation itself is plastic container, and it is a squeeze and pour type instead of a bottle with pump. Let's see what I mean from the picture below.

Bottle with pump may seem more hygienic, but I think it should not be a problem for Clinique as you must remember to close the lid every time after you used it. And this design of bottle also allow you to used up until the last drop of your foundation as you can tilt it upside down and squeeze out the last drop!!!

Price

This bottle of 30ml liquid foundation has cost me RM125 which is a burn in pocket to be honest. You could probably get a Loreal or Maybelline brand foundation at about RM50 in Watson :) But if you compare to counter brand like Kanabo or Estee Lauder or Dior (if not mistaken should be RM160), Clinique price range will not be the highest. And hope it worth the money I spend also~~

SPF Protection

Clinique Anti Blemish liquid foundation does not provide any sunscreen protection. However, I do put on sunscreen after beauty regime and before make up regardless if the moisturizer or foundation claim to have certain level of SPF. I still will use the sunblock with SPF50, PA+++ as I'm living in Malaysia. So no worries at my side but if you are relying on foundation to provide the sunscreen protection then you may need to reconsider.

How it feels on skin and coverage

I apply the foundation using the complimentary brush given through this purchase of product. It feels smooth on the skin and it does provide coverage to the blemishes I have on my skin, and on the same time my skin also appear to be less red and does not look irritated. However, the coverage on blemishes and acne scar is to moderate, and if you need more coverage you need to use concealer as well. And the most importantly at the end of the day under hot sun, it does not melt or feels very sticky ^.^ I think I will continue to use this product and to observe if it has any effect on blemishes control, as it will not appear to be very obvious with only one use.

Suitable for skin type: Oily, blemish, easily irritated skin
Value for money: 3.5 out of 5.0
Overall rating: 4.0 out of 5.0

We wake up in the early morning, have a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, and we planned to depart to Langkawi Cable car.
